LEE, Mass. — Derek Paris pitched 4-1/3 innings of two-run relief to lead the Williamstown Cal Ripken 10-and-under all-stars to a 7-4 win over Lee that clinched the district championship on Friday evening.

Williamstown swept a best-of-three series with wins on Thursday and Friday.

Both Williamstown and Lee move on to the state tournament in Sutton, July 5-8.

On Friday, Paris took over with the bases loaded and two out in the second and got his man to pop up to the mound. He went the rest of the way, striking out six and allowing three hits, three walks and one earned run.

Oscar Lowe went 3-for-3 with a run scored for Williamstown. Landen Jamula was 2-for-3 and scored twice.

For Lee, Daniel Munch was 2-for-3 with a run scored, and Roberto Barron walked twice and scored. Panayiotis Canstantopolous took the loss on the hill, striking out eight and giving up four runs in three innings of work.

In Thursday's series opener on Bud Anderson Field in Williamstown, Jamula pitched five innings to lead the home team to a 10-0 win.

He also went 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and a three-run homer while Lowe went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
