PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Carr Hardware announced the opening of Carr Rental, a complete, fully expanded rental store located at 549 and 551 North St., next door to Carr Hardware.

The new store expands the previous offering by tripling the size and breath of items available to rent. Carr Rental will now offer the area's most complete rental center including a complete party and event showroom with tents, tables, chairs, china and glassware, an expanded concession rental, carnival games, bouncers and inflatables as well as all the general tools and equipment.

"We are excited to bring the full-rental offerings to central and southern Berkshire previously available to our northern Berkshire customers," said co-owner Bart Raser.

The new Pittsfield rental location will be open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Carr Rental operates two other rental locations in Lee and North Adams.

Carr Hardware was founded in 1928 by Sam Carr and purchased by the Raser family in 1962. Operated now by Marshall Raser and his son Bart, Carr Hardware and Rental remains a family-owned and operated business. Carr Hardware has four locations located in Pittsfield, Lee, Great Barrington, and North Adams.
