Berkshire Business Breakfast Forum

12:00AM / Monday, October 24, 2005

Pittsfield - "Listening to the Customer—The Key to Making Successful Sales," a free breakfast forum to help businesses succeed, will be held on Friday November 4th from 7:30a.m.- 9:30 a.m. at Berkshire Enterprises at One Fenn Street, 3rd Floor Board Room, Pittsfield.

The forum will be a discussion of how to really listen to customers and discover what they need before you determine what you will try to sell them. Owners of local businesses will discuss their experiences—what works and what does not work. Discussions will focus on observing customers and learning their individual needs over time.

The participants will include Steven Valenti, owner of Steven Valenti Clothing for Men, and Mark Kasuba, owner of M. Edwards Jewelers.

The forum is designed to help owners and managers of small businesses learn from each other as they share their own experiences putting their businesses together and keeping them focused. The goal is to improve how business owners manage their businesses.

Bellisimo Dolce of Pittsfield will provide pastries. The monthly breakfast forums are presented by the Berkshire Business Information Center (BBIC), Berkshire Enterprises, and the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce. The BBIC is funded by contributions from Berkshire Bank, Legacy Banks, TD Banknorth, Pittsfield Co-op Bank, Greylock Federal Credit Union, and the Berkshire Chamber of Commerce.

The forum is free and a continental breakfast will be served. Space is limited and reservations are required. For reservations or for more information about the forums, call Steve Fogel at Berkshire Enterprises at 448-2755 or visit www.berkshireenterprises.com .
