"Truck Stuff" Opens In Cheshire

By Susan Bush

Cheshire - It's being called "your one stop truck stop" and could become a favored destination for those whose best friend is a truck.

Launched By Maple Grove Equipment,Inc.

"Truck Stuff" is the latest business venture launched by Maple Grove Equipment, Inc. owners Raymond Perrault and Peter Levesque. "Truck Stuff" has been up and running at 534 Savoy Road [Route 116] for about a month and is being managed by Keith Bush.

The business adds another dimension to the growing Maple Grove Equipment corporation; the entity also owns and operates "Signs, Etc." a commercial sign design and application venture at the site.

The truck-focused business offers general truck repairs and repairs to trailers such as horse trailers, utility trailers, and camper trailers. A broad selection of snow plows, sanders, Tonneau covers, bed liners, running boards, flatbed and dump truck bodies, multi-capacity Weatherguard tool boxes, and more are available for sale.

Services include on-site trailer hitch installation, installation of electric brake controls, steel and aluminum welding repairs, and additional repairs and maintenance services.

Aluminum truck beds are available and Bush said that the beds offer a host of benefits to truck owners.

"The aluminum doesn't rust and [the beds] are lightweight," he said. "They are very durable, with detachable sides so that it can be used as a flatbed."

Bush is highly qualified as site manager and has earned Automotive Service Excellence [ASE] certification, said Perrault and Levesque.

Accommodating Those Who Rely On Trucks

The business was launched to accommodate the many Berkshire region truck owners, Perrault and Levesque said.

"We believed we could fill a need. We install Fisher snowplows at Maple Grove Equipment, and we'd see new trucks come in. By the next time we'd see the trucks, they'd be outfitted with tool boxes and running boards. And we'd hear from some of the guys that they'd had some trouble finding what they wanted."

The company offers several financing options and accepts all major credit cards.

Signs Etc.

Signs, Etc. has been in operation for about 18 months and offers truck lettering, "flames," signs, banners, logos, and more. Color selection is almost unlimited and a variety of finishes, including metallic, reflective, and fluorescent styles are available.

Perrault and Levesque acquired and incorporated Maple Grove Equipment in 1988. The business has been in operation since 1952.

Maple Grove Equipment Inc. sells residential and commercial equipment from manufacturers such as Toro, Toro Proline, Massey Ferguson, E-Z-Go, Karavan and RedMax at 8 Leonard St. in Adams. Equipment includes golf carts, lawn mowers, tractors, weed-whackers, and other items.

Truck accessories line business walls.
