Joan Carsno, 86
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Joan Carsno, 86, of Park Avenue died Tuesday, July 22, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family.Born in North Adams on Jan. 30, 1928, daughter of Frederick and Florence Marshall Osborn, she attended schools in North Adams, including Drury High School.
Mrs. Carsno was a homemaker who was devoted to her family.
She enjoyed reading, knitting and crossword puzzles and scratch tickets but her favorite times were those spent with her family.
Her husband, Harold "Babe" Carsno Jr., whom she married on Nov. 30, 1946, in North Adams, died Feb. 27, 1999.
She leaves her son, Dennis Carsno and his wife, Christine, of Billerica; two daughters, Barbara Copenhaver and her husband, Darryl, and Cindy Burdick and her husband, James, all of North Adams; seven grandchildren, Travis Cramer, Scott Cramer, Jody Roy, Justin Roy, Carissa Carsno, Jamie Burdick and Stephanie Burdick, and a great-grandchild, Nathan Cramer.
She was predeceased by her son Steven C. Carsno on Sept. 19 1987; her daughter Sandra Cramer on Nov. 25, 2007, and a brother, Frederick Osborn.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Funeral services for Mrs. Carsno will be held at First Baptist Church in North Adams at Friday, July 25, at 11 a.m.
Calling hours will take place Friday morning from 9 to 10:30 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Memorial donations are suggested for the Berkshire VNA & Hospice through the funeral home.
