Diane L. Beals, 60
ADAMS, Mass. — Diane L. Beals, 60, of Augusta, Kan., formerly of Adams, died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2014.Born in North Adams on Nov. 15, 1953, daughter of Angelina M. Segala Downs of Coldspring, Texas, and the late Melwood Roy Downs, she graduated in 1971 from Hoosac Valley High School.
Mrs. Beals worked as a bookkeeper for RV Specialists and for Seeber Manufacturing in Augusta.
She and her husband, Francis E. Beals Jr., were married Jan. 23, 1971, in Adams.
Besides her mother and her husband, she leaves a daughter, Kellie Ann Shipman of Augusta; a son Francis E. "Frank" Beals III and his wife, Juana, of Chula Vista, Calif.; a sister, Juanita White and her husband, Leon White Sr.; her grandchildren Courtney and Samantha Shipman and Jarod Beals, sisters-in-law Cirena LeMaire and her husband, Bruce, and Theresa Wheeler and her husband, William, all of North Adams, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister Frances Marie Downs; a brother-in-law, William D. Beals, and her son-in-law, Jason Shipman.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Funeral Mass for Mrs. Beals will be held Friday, Oct. 10, at 10 a.m. from St. James Catholic Church in Augusta, Kan. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
