Elmira F. Belini, 93
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Elmira F. Belini, 93, formerly of 85 Eagle St., St. Joseph's Court, died on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at Sweet Brook Care Centers in Williamstown.Born in North Adams on June 4, 1921, a daughter of George John and Lena D'Amico Fierro, she attended schools in North Adams, including the former St. Joseph's School.
Mrs. Belini was last employed at the former Linda's Dress Shop. She was first employed at the former Gale Shoe Co. and later, during World War II, at former Sprague Electric Co.
During her younger years she was a singer for the Pete D'Amico Band. She enjoyed crocheting and was an accomplished artist.
She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church
Her husband, Natale "Ned" Belini, whom she married on Jan. 18, 1941, died on Jan. 3, 1991.
She leaves her son, Richard Edward Belini and his wife, Theresa, of North Adams; her brother, Norman Thomas Fierro of Tucson, Ariz.; a granddaughter, Kyrsten Marie Belini, a graduate student at St. Elizabeth College in Morristown, N.J., and a grandson, Matthew Edward Belini of North Adams, as well as nephews and nieces.
She was predeceased by her siblings George Nicholas Fierro and Frances Patricia Baker.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Mrs. Belini will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, Oct. 13, from 4 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St. Memorial donations are suggested for the Kristine Fierro Memorial through the funeral home.
