Raymond A. Bissaillon Jr., 56

CLARKSBURG, Mass. - Raymond Alfred Bissaillon Jr., 56, of 711 Middle Road died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2014, at his home in his sleep.

Born in North Adams on March 1, 1958, son of Beatrice Brazeau Bissaillon of North Adams and the late Raymond A. Bissaillon Sr., he attended North Adams schools and graduated from McCann Technical School with class of 1977.

Mr. Bissaillon was last employed as a licensed apprentice plumber by R.I. Baker Co. Before that, he worked at former Sprague Electric and General Electric companies.

He was the president of the Stamford (Vt.) Fish and Game Association. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was also a licensed firearm instructor.

Besides his mother, he leaves his son, John M. Bissaillon and his wife, Kelley, of Abington; two brothers, David Bissaillon and his friend, Jeff Briggs, of North Adams and Paul Bissaillon and his wife, Laurie, of Auburn; four sisters, Dorothy Lohnes and her husband, Harry, of Virginia Beach, Va., Judith Condron and her husband, Thomas, of Dalton, Mary Herter of Wichita, Kans., and Patricia Kolis and her husband, David, of Adams; his grandson, John M. "Jack" Bissaillon Jr., and nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE - A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mr. Bissaillon will be celebrated Thursday, Nov. 13, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will be private. Calling hours will be Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 4 to 7 at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA are Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Please omit flowers. Memorial donations may be made to the Stamford Fish and Game Association in care of the funeral home.

As others have stated, we were also shocked to hear this news. Although we haven't been in contact for many, many years we have fond memories of the McCann days. May God strengthen and bless the family.
