Christine L. Hulland, 62
WAREHAM, Mass. — Christine L. Hulland, 62, of Wareham, died peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 15, 2014, at Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham while surrounded by her loving family.Born in Pittsfield in 1952, daughter of Shirley H. Tavares of New Lebanon, N.Y., she graduated from New Lebanon Central High School. She lived in Wareham for many years.
Mrs. Hulland was the office manager at Skyline Marble in Middleborough.
She enjoyed traveling to North Carolina to the Outer Banks with her husband, Thomas W. Hulland, sitting on her deck watching wildlife and reading. An avid Facebook enthusiast, she also enjoyed ancestry research. She was the Massachusetts representative for the Coast 2 Coast Dachshund Rescue Program. She loved her dogs, Abbey, Jazz and the late Heidi and Georgie.
Mrs. Hulland was a member of Community Baptist Church in Marion.
Besides her mother and husband, she leaves two daughters, Jennifer Darrow of Fort Meyers, Fla., and formerly of Dalton and Charlene Lopez of Pittsfield; a stepdaughter, Michelle Hulland of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; three brothers, John Tavares, William Tavares and Mark Tavares, all of New Lebanon; a sister, Beverly Grochan and her husband, Mark, of East Nassau, N.Y.; seven grandchildren, Eric, Andrew, Dylan, Sammy, Lauren, Laura, and Christian; three nieces, Abigail Jensky of East Nassau, Ashley Tavares of New Lebanon and Sena of New London, N.Y.; and two nephews, William Tavares and Benjamin Tavares, both of New Lebanon.
FUNERAL NOTICE — A memorial and worship service for Mrs. Hulland will be held on Sunday, Nov. 23, at 10 a.m. at Community Baptist Church, 441 Front St., Marion.
Another memorial service will be held in New Lebanon will be held at a later date.
