Charles J. Bissaillon, 76
ADAMS, Mass. — Charles Joseph Bissaillon, 76, of 79 Lime St. died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.Born in North Adams on May 26, 1938, son of Andrew and Bertha Duguay Bissaillon, he attended schools in Adams.
An Army veteran, he served at during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on Oct. 2, 1963.
Mr. Bissaillon worked as an assembler in the Power Transformer Division of the former General Electric Co. in Pittsfield. Following his retirement, he went to work as a driver for the Berkshire Community Action Council, also in Pittsfield.
He was an avid woodworker and enjoyed gardening.
His wife, the former Judith Arigoni, whom he married in 1965, died on Jan. 19, 1972.
He leaves his son, Michael Bissaillon and his wife, Leslie, of Great Barrington; a daughter, Michelle Jukoski and her husband, Peter, of Bow, N.H.; three sisters, Janet Eichorn and her husband, William, and Claire Bissaillon, all of Adams, and Jeanne Ryan and her husband, David, of Cheshire; six grandchildren, Zachary and Zoe Jukoski and Caroline, Kathleen, Cole and Jack Bissaillon, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Sister Mary Ann Bissaillon.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral will be held on Thursday, Jan. 29, at noon from Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, officiated by the Rev. David R. Raymond, pastor of St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Cheshire. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours will be Thursday morning from 10 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
