Claire A. Trombley, 91
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Claire Antonia Trombley, 91, of 546 Union St. died Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.Born in North Adams on Nov. 25, 1923, daughter of Alfred and Diana Martell LeSage, she attended the former Notre Dame Parochial School and Drury High School.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Trombley had worked in the former Hoosac Cotton Mill in her early years.
She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and enjoyed bingo, playing cards and tag sales.
Her husband, George W. Trombley, whom she married on June 8, 1946, died on July 2, 1971.
She leaves two daughters, Judith C. Wheeler and her husband, Henry, of Pass Christian, Miss., and Patricia A. Lewis and her husband, Edward, of Killeen, Texas; two sons, Daniel G. Trombley and his wife, Patricia, of East Bridgewater and George W. Trombley Jr. and his wife, Em, of Las Vegas; a sister, Doris Cote of North Adams; a brother, George LeSage, also of North Adams; eight grandchildren, Cami Crouchet, Michael Wheeler, George W. Trombley III, Audrey Flanagan, Nicole Ramirez, Tyler Trombley, Casey Trombley and David Lewis; 20 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her best friend, Eddie LaBonte.
Her siblings Irene Remillard Byers, Helen Bedard and William LeSage are deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mrs. Trombley will be Friday, March 27, at 8:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Thursday, March 26, from from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans or the Wounded Warrior Project in care of the funeral home.
