Donna Cooper-Goodell, 76
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Donna Lee Cooper-Goodell, 76, of North Adams died Tuesday, April 14, 2015, at her home.Born in North Adams on Jan. 5, 1939, daughter of Nelson and Edith Estes Shaw, she attended Drury High School.
Mrs. Cooper-Goodell was primarily a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Her first husband, William Cooper, whom she married on died on July 9, 1955, died on Aug. 10, 1990.
Her husband, Francis Goodell, whom she married on June 12, 1992, died on Jan. 3, 2004.
She leaves a son, William Cooper Jr. and his wife, Cynthia, of North Adams; four daughters, Cynthia Marran of Adams, Kimberly Horsfall and her husband, William, Edith Cardinal and Melissa Wheeler and her husband, Jon, all of North Adams; a brother, Raymond Shaw of Stephentown, N.Y.; a sister, Tamara Canale of Clarksburg; 17 grandchildren, including her primary caregiver Rebecca Arnold; 28 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Her sister Lorraine Borey is deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE - The funeral for Mrs. Cooper-Goodell will be Saturday, April 18, at 10:30 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Saturday morning from 9 to 10:30 at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the SPCA in care of the funeral home.
