Walter W. Worth, 70
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Walter Wilson Worth, 70, of 150 Ashland St. died Thursday, May 14, 2015, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.Born in North Adams on June 12, 1944, son of William Henry and Viola Belanger Worth, he attended local schools.
Mr. Worth was last employed by Aramark Food Services at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts until his retirement. Before that, he worked at JT Bus Lines and Hoosac Valley Coal & Grain.
He was an avid Boston Red Sox baseball and New England Patriots football fan.
His wife, the former Louise Champagne, died on Aug. 11, 1998.
He leaves a daughter, Connie Furlon and her husband, Brad, of the town of Florida; a son, Michael Worth and his wife, Diana, also of Florida; a sister, Doris Cote of North Adams; a brother, William Worth of Clarksburg; five grandchildren, Peter Prieto, Becca Worth, Austin Worth, Katelyn Furlon, and Krista Furlon; two great-grandchildren, Brayten and Laikyn, and nieces and nephews.
A sister, Alice Worth, is deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Mr. Worth will be Tuesday, May 19, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Monday, May 18, from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Florida Volunteer Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
