Louise E. Ralys, 95
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Louise E. Ralys, 95, of North Adams died on Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Williamstown Commons.Born in Watertown on Oct. 2, 1919, daughter of Leon L. and Emma Gertrude Stone, the family moved to Prescott and then to Orange when Prescott was flooded in the 1930s to make the Quabbin Reservoir, a source for Boston's water. She attended New Salem Academy as well as Becker Junior College.
Mrs. Ralys was employed for 21 years in the saw division of L.S. Starett Co. in Athol.
Her husband, Stanley C. Ralys of Orange, predeceased her.
She leaves two sons, Thomas Ralys and his wife, Cathy, of North Adams, with whom she had resided, and William Ralys of the state of Florida; seven beloved grandchildren, Danielle Ralys, Jared Ralys, Craig Ralys, Ben Ralys, Jonathan Ralys, Mathew Ralys, and Dr. Alex Ralys, and four great-grandchildren.
Her daughter, Jacqueline Marie Ralys, tragically died one month prior on June 10.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Mrs. Ralys will be laid to rest with her mother and father on Thursday, July 30, at 10 a.m. in Mountain View Cemetery in New Salem. Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals is in care of arrangements.
