Shirley Fredette-Nichols, 76
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. - Shirley June Fredette-Nichols, 76, of Murphy, N.C., formerly of North Adams, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at a Hall County, Georgia, hospital of natural causes.Born as Shirley Hall in Boston on March 9, 1939, daughter of Doris Martin Hall Neathawk, she had lived in Ocala, Fla., before moving to Murphy in 2014.
Ms. Fredette-Nichols had worked for Walmart for 17 years, retiring in 2010.
She was of the Catholic faith and, to her family, has gone to heaven. She enjoyed working with the public, helping others and going to bingo.
She leaves three sons, Francis E. Fredette Jr. of North Adams, John P. Fredette and wife, Stacey, of North Carolina and James M. Fredette and his companion, Stella Hyndman, of Adams; two daughters, Cheryl Whitney and her husband, William, of North Adams and Christine Cooper and her companion, Dana Houghton, of North Adams; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Jeannie and Carol, and a brother, Ronnie.
FUNERAL NOTICE - A calling hour for Ms. Fredette-Nichols will be held Friday, Aug. 28, from 4 to 5 p.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams. A memorial service will take place at 5 p.m. Donations are suggested for the charity of the donor's choice through the funeral home.
