Margaret Ostrowski Benoit, 79
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Margaret Lois Ostrowski Benoit, 79, of North Adams, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2015, at her home.Born in Benson, Vt., on Sept. 4, 1935, daughter of Raymond Martin and Alethia Slater Martin Todriff, she attended schools in Fairhaven, Vt.
Ms. Benoit was last employed as a waitress at the former Capitol Restaurant on Main Street.
She enjoyed bingo, crocheting and reading.
She leaves three daughters, Sheila Dargie of North Adams and Valerie Rowe and Renee Sherman, both of Clarksburg; two sons, Matthew Ostrowski of North Adams and Kenneth Benoit of Hayward, Calif.; three brothers, Stanley Slater of Columbus, Ga., and Donald Todriff and William Todriff, both of Texas; a sister, Donna Thorpe of Governor, N.Y.; seven stepchildren; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Keisha.
Another sister, Sandra Todriff, is deceased.
FUNERAL NOTICE — The funeral for Ms. Benoit will be Thursday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.m. from at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
A calling hour at will be held Thursday morning from 10 to 11 at the funeral home. Donations may be made to HospiceCare of the Berkshires in care of the funeral home.
