Dorothy Trimarchi, 97
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Dorothy Trimarchi, 97, formerly of St. Joseph's Court, 85 Eagle St., died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at Williamstown Commons.Born in North Adams on June 30, 1918, daughter of William and Roseanna Duverney, she attended the former St. Joseph's elementary and high schools.
Mrs. Trimarchi had been employed at the former Sprague Electric and then the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co. After her daughter's birth, she became a homemaker.
She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and reading. She was chairman of the St. Joseph Tenants Association Party for many years. She organized the monthly dinner parties.
Her husband of 52 years, Rocco B. Trimarchi, whom she married on Feb. 22, 1943, predeceased her.
She leaves her only child, Claire Grogan and her husband, Patrick, of North Adams; two granddaughters, Jessica Grogan-Young, Ph.D., and her husband, James Young, of Harlingen, Texas, and Dr. Kelly Grogan of Gainesville, Fla.;
a great-granddaughter, Magdalene Young of Harlingen, and nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews.
Her four sisters, Florence Carsno, Mary Lefebvre, Anna Braman and Valida Loszynski, and two brothers, Wilfred Duverney and Leo Duverney, also predeceased her.
FUNERAL NOTICE — Services for Mrs. Trimarchi will be Monday, Oct. 12, at 10:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.
Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday, Oct. 11, from 4 to 6. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.
