Najib 'Pat' Davis, 100
ADAMS, Mass. — Najib Thomas "Pat" Davis, 100, of Adams, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at Williamstown Commons.
Born in New York Mills, N.Y., on May 11, 1915, son of Said and Amelia Haddad Davis, he attended Drury High School in North Adams.
Mr. Davis was employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. and Sprague Products in North Adams for 42 years until his retirement.
He was a member and usher of St. John's Episcopal Church, now All Saints, in North Adams. He was a Mason for 57 years and was a member of the Greylock Lodge of Masons. He also was a member of the Sprague Management Club.
He enjoyed fishing, bowling, golf and playing cards.
His wife, the former Dorothy Alice Booth, whom he married on May 29, 1936, died on July 14, 1989.
He leaves two sons, Frank T. Davis of Newburgh, N.Y., and Robert J. Davis of Ansonia, Conn.; two grandchildren, Brandon Davis of North Haven, Conn., and Dr. Lauren E. Davis of Wagga Wagga, Australia; his longtime companion, Susan Labelle of Adams; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Whittaker of Spring Hill, Fla., and Ruth Davis of North Adams; his longtime friend, Donna LaBonte of Adams and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased his siblings Jeanne Lawson and Alfred, George, James, Joseph and Philip Davis.
