Andrew L. Les, 63

ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Andrew L. Les, 63, of Adams died on Monday, August 22, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.



He was born in Adams on November 19, 1952, a son of the late Joseph and Wanda (Sliwa) Les. He graduated from St. Stanislaus Kostka School in Adams and the former St. Joseph's High School in North Adams. He then earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and his Master's Degree in Psychology from Antioch University in Keene, New Hampshire.



Mr. Les worked as an expeditor for Mullen Movers Inc. in Pittsfield for the last 37 years.



A hardworking, intelligent individual, he also was a naturalist who could identify many birds and plants by sight. He enjoyed gardening and was an exceptional fly fisherman. In his younger years, he was an avid cross-country runner and a long-time volunteer for the former Helpline Inc. in North Adams.



He is survived by his wife, the former Caren L. Bator, whom he married on August 27, 1989; one daughter, Julia Les and her partner Gavin Myers of Boston; one brother, Jody Les and his wife Betty of Santa Rosa, Calif.; two sisters, Theresa Daniels of Adams and Sally Nolan of North Adams; his mother-in-law Harriette Bator of Adams; and many nieces and nephews.



Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Saturday, Aug. 27, at 11:30 a.m. from the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at noon at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Steven Montesanti, Pastor. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
