Karen A. Belanger, 50
POWNAL, Vt. — Karen Ann (Hurley) Farron Belanger, 50, of 57 Lincoln St. Pownal, Vt., died on Friday, May 26, 2017, at her home after a long illness.
She was born in Bennington, Vt., on January 9, 1967, a daughter of Diane (Hartman) Murphy and the late Robert S. Hurley Sr. She attended Mt. Greylock Regional High School and was primarily a homemaker and especially loved doing crafts.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Linwood “Sonny” Farron, who died in 2005. Survivors include her current husband, Paul J. Belanger, mother Diane Murphy and stepfather Lawrence Murphy of Williamstown; her sisters, Brenda Little, Robin Nelson, Michelle Murphy and Jean Devenon; three brothers, Michael Murphy, Michael Barcome and John Elliott; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her brothers Robert Hurley Jr. and Jason Murphy; and sister her Rachel Wilkins.
Funeral notice: Funeral services for Karen Belanger will take place on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at 1 p.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Pownal, Vt. Donations may be made in her memory to the Flynn & Dagnoli Funeral Home.
