Sandra Yankey, 53

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Sandra A. Eason Yankey, 53, of 28 Merriam St., passed away at home on Friday, September 15, 2017. 

Born on December 28, 1963, in Pittsfield, she is the daughter of Sylvester B. Eason of Pittsfield and the late Norma Johnson Eason. A lifelong Pittsfield resident, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1981 graduate of Taconic High School. 

She was employed as a clerk for many years at Marshall’s and Macy’s. She had also worked at CINTAS and Canyon Ranch at one time. 

Besides her father of Pittsfield, she leaves three brothers, James R. Eason of Pittsfield, Calvin F. Eason and his wife Nicole of Tucson, Ariz., and Dale Eason and his wife Valerie of Pittsfield; a sister, Alexandria Eason of Pittsfield and her nephew that she raised, Jshe-Ron Eveland of Pittsfield; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was predeceased by her mother Norma and by her brother, the late Norman J. Eason.

Funeral notice: Funeral services for Sandra Eason Yankey will be held Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Price Memorial AME Zion Church at 163 Linden St. in Pittsfield. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. 

Calling hours will be held Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. prior to the service at the church on Linden Street. Memorial donations in memory of Sandra may be made to the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, MA 01201, to help her family with funeral expenses.
