    Cheshire: As of August 1st the Fine of $25 has been added to the June 1st Late Fee for non-licensed dogs. The fine and late fee totaling $40 is added to the cost of the dog license of male/female $20 or neutered male/spayed female $10. If the dog is not licensed by September 1st court action may be taken. The late fee and fine are both Cheshire Town by-laws.


    Dalton: The Dalton Community Recreation Association is holding sign-ups for Youth Football, Soccer and Volleyball at the Dalton CRA through Aug. 7. All participants must have a current CRA/DYC Youth Membership ($40.00) and pay league fees. Register at the Dalton CRA.     Pittsfield: The Pittsfield Department of Community Development Recreation Program has announced that lifeguards will be on duty at the public beach within Burbank Park beginning Thursday, July 30th. Lifeguards will provide beach supervision Wednesdays through Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until August 30th. Please note that as we have a limited number of lifeguards, the schedule may be subject to change. For more information please call Becky Manship, Recreation Activities Coordinator at 499-9370.
