READSBORO, Vt. — Ersilia Jacqueline “Jackie” Passardi, 83, of Monroe Bridge, Mass., died on Monday, March 4, 2018.
She was born in Tandil, Argentina, South America, on January 18, 1935, a daughter of the late John and Maria (Balduzzi) Passardi. Ersilia came to Monroe Bridge at the age of 4. She attended Monroe schools, and graduated from Drury High School in North Adams. She was last employed by United Technologies Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks, Conn., where she worked for 35 years until her retirement.
Ersilia was a communicant of St. Joachim’s Church in Readsboro, Vt. She was a member of the Trentino Club of New England, as well as the Monroe Historical Society. She enjoyed sewing and skiing.
Survivors include her sisters, Aurelia Gavazzi of East Longmeadow, Mass., and Lucy Passardi of Monroe Bridge; brother Ron Passardi of Monroe Bridge; niece Laura Caleri of Sommers, N.Y.; as well as a grandniece and grandnephew, Brianna and Nicky Caleri.
She was predeceased by her brother Alfred Passardi.
Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial to celebrate the life of Ersilia Passardi will take place on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Joachim’s Church, Readsboro, Vt. A calling hour will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
Burial will take place in the spring in Village Cemetery, Readsboro, Vt. Donations in her memory can be made to St. Joachim’s Church or the charity of the donor’s choice in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.
