Candlelight Tours Continue at Arrowhead
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Due to a lively response to the Holiday Candlelight tours of Arrowhead, further candlelight tours have been scheduled for upcoming weekends.Visitors to Arrowhead, the home of author Herman Melville from 1850 to 1863 and the site where he penned his masterpiece "Moby-Dick," can enjoy an intimate candlelight tour of the 1783 farmhouse.
The tours take place on Saturdays and Sundays, and will be offered on the following dates: Feb. 13, 14, 20, and 21, and March 13 and 14. Tours begin at 6 p.m.
Reservations are required. Call 413-442-1793, ext. 10 or email melville@berkshire.net to reserve; the cost is $20 and includes light refreshments after the tour. Arrowhead is located at 780 Holmes Road.
In addition, Arrowhead will be open for daytime tours every weekend from 11 to 5, with the last tour beginning at 4.
