NARH Radiologic Technologists to Speak at Spitzer Center

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Radiologic technologists from North Adams Regional Hospital will speak on bone density testing and mammography at the Mary Spitzer Senior Center on Wednesday, July 28, at 10 a.m. The public is invited to the event; refreshments will be served. The Spitzer Center is at 116 Ashland St.

Linda Bailot, RT(R)(CT)(BD), lead bone density technologist at NARH, and mammographer Pauline Davis, RT(R)(M), will discuss the importance of diagnostic testing to maintain good health.  Bailot is registered to conduct bone density testing by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and certified by the International Society of Clinical Densitometry. Davis is registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists to perform mammography.

NARH uses all-digital imaging systems to produce high-quality bone density tests and mammograms.

NARH’s medical imaging department is a designated Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology. The ACR’s Commission on Quality and Safety and the Commission on Breast Imaging awarded the designation following accreditation by the ACR.

SteepleCats Shut Out on Road

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
