Author to Discuss 'Dog in the Outhouse'
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Author J.P. Polidoro will be coming to Chapters Bookstore for a book discussion and signing on Saturday, July 31, beginning at noon. Polidoro will be discussing his new book, "Dog in the Outhouse."The book tells the story of the untimely death of a prominent anti-gun lawyer, Barnaby Stillwater, in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Stillwater's death leads to a complex, challenging investigation. Advocates of "liberty and freedom" infiltrate the state impacting local communities and the New Hampshire legislature.
Festus Gravel, a hermit in the White Mountains, is confronted by "extreme" right-wing criminals, on the run. His dog becomes a lone sentry after his master is mortally assaulted. New Hampshire's motto, "Live Free or Die," takes on a new meaning.
Polidoro is a Pittsfield native and has lived in New Hampshire since 1977. He has written seven novels and a book of trivia. Polidoro was also a songwriter, having made six albums of folk guitar vocals.
