Theresa M. Bellini, 80

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Theresa Mary Bellini, 80, of North Adams died Sunday, October 16, 2016, at Berkshire Medical Center.
 
She was born in North Adams on May 18, 1936, daughter of Joseph N. and Frances M. (Casuscelli) Bellini.  She graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1954 and completed Becker Junior College in 1956.  She received her Bachelor's Degree from North Adams State College in 1966 and completed her Master's Degree there in 1972.

Theresa first worked at Sprague Electric and later at General Electric.  In 1962, she joined the faculty at McCann Technical High School, where she taught business and later was the Chairman of the Business Department.  At the time of her retirement in 1993, she was the administrative assistant to the superintendent of the school.

She was a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church and a former member of its Children of Mary. She served on the Parish Council for six years and worked on its Bazaar Committee. Theresa was a member of the McCann Faculty Association, the Mass Association of Vocational Administrators and the Mass Retired Teachers Association. She also served as a corporator and trustee of the North Adams Hoosac Savings Bank and was a member of the MCLA Foundation.

She is survived by her sister, Gina Zauli of Stamford, Vt.; and nieces, nephews and cousins. Her sister, Angela Potter is deceased.

Funeral notice: The funeral for Theresa Bellini will be Friday, October 21, 2016, at 10:15 a.m. from Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. North Adams,  followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Thursday, October 20, 2016, from 4 to 7 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the MCLA Foundation in care of the funeral home.
