Ann Marie Palmer, 88

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Ann Marie Palmer, 88, formerly of Kenwood Street, Pittsfield, and later of Sugar Hill, Dalton, died Monday, December 19, 2016, at Craneville Place of Dalton.

Born in Watervliet, New York on September 23, 1928, daughter of William B. Palmer, Sr. and Julia MacGregor Palmer, she was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a 1941 graduate of Pittsfield High School.

Miss Palmer had been employed by New England Telephone where she was a manager. She retired in 1983 with 35 years service.

She had been a communicant of St. Joseph Church. She was a volunteer at the Hillcrest Hospital Gift Shop. She enjoyed her home, gardening, and traveling.

Miss Palmer is survived by many nieces and nephews, including William and Lisabeth O'Brien-Garvey of Pittsfield.

She was predeceased by two brothers, William Palmer and Jimmy Palmer; and by two sisters, Mary Pezanelli and Winifred Garvey.

Funeral notice: Funeral services for Ann Marie Palmer will be private. There are no calling hours. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in care of Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
