Cheryl Rieke, 72
LEE, Mass. — Cheryl A. Rieke, 72, died Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at her home on West Park Street in Lee, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Pittsfield on January 8, 1945, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Fraley Rhinehart. She attended Lenox schools.
Cheryl worked for many years as a Postal Clerk for the US Postal Service in West Stockbridge. She enjoyed watching the NY Yankees and most of all watching her grandson Matt play baseball.
On August 16, 1962, she married Henry L. Rieke Jr., he died on February 15, 2002.
Cheryl is survived by three sons, Henry Rieke III, Michael Rieke and Neil Rieke all of Lee; two daughters, Jennifer Rieke and Mary Jo Dumont and her husband Ray, all of Lee; one sister, Christine Scott of Dunnellon, Fla.; one grandson, Matthew Driscoll of Lee; two sisters-in-law, Barbara Ricalzone and her husband Louis and Debra Carderella; along with many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by two sisters, Barbara Nyland and Carol Houghtaling.
Funeral notice: A graveside service for Cheryl Rieke will be on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Lee. Friends wishing may make donations in her memory to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in c/o the Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main Street, Lee, MA 01238.
