Helen M. Segala, 81

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Helen Mary (Parker) Segala, 81, of Hoosick Falls, N.Y., died Wednesday March 15, 2017, at her home.

She was born in North Adams, Mass., on February 14, 1936 daughter of Jerry and Maud Martin (Jones) Parker. She attended local schools.

Helen was last employed by Berkshire Ivy Gardens.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Leonard and her husband Ralph, with whom she lived; one son, David Segala and his wife Nancy of North Adams; three grandchildren, Joseph Segala, Krysten Segala and Amie Sawtelle; six great-grandchildren, Lucien, Ryland, Haven, Oliver, Alexander and Josslyn; one sister, Margaret Cota of Pensacola, Fla.; and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Michael J. Maillet; and two brothers, Jerry and Stanley.

Funeral notice: The funeral for Helen Segala will be Monday, March 27, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. North Adams. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Monday morning from 10-11 a.m. Donations may be made in her memory to the funeral home.
