Stephen J. Perkins, 59

FLORIDA, Mass. — Stephen John Perkins, 59, of Florida, Mass., died Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.

He was born in Greenfield, Mass., on February 13, 1958, son of Elgin Donald Perkins and the late Nancy Lorraine (Ackerman) Perkins. He attended schools in Florida and graduated from McCann Technical High School.

Steve was last employed by Crane & Co. and worked at Steinerfilm for about 25 years before that. He enjoyed hunting and tinkering in his garage.

Survivors include his father, Elgin D. Perkins; one son, Ryan Perkins and his significant other, Allison Faith Andrews, of Florida, Mass.; one daughter, Ashley Perkins and her fiancé, Joseph Melillo, of Lanesborough, Mass.; his significant other, June Mroz, and her children, Michael Mroz Jr., Jennifer Wise and Eric Mroz; her grandchildren, Nicholas Mroz, Lauren Mroz, Eleanor Wise, Joseph Wise and David Wise; one sister, Terry LeClair of Adams; one brother, Jay Perkins of Deepwater, Mo.; and nieces and nephews.
