Gail A. Weber, 62

ADAMS, Mass. — Gail Anne Theresa Weber, 62, of Adams, Mass., died Tuesday May 16, 2017, at her home.

She was born in Rockville Center, N.Y., on September 27, 1954, daughter of the late James and Anna (Becker) Weber. She attended schools on Long Island and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1972. She also graduated from North Adams State College with a BA in English and a minor in art.

Gail was last employed by Lenox Health Care until her retirement in 1999 due to ill health.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North Adams. Gail served on the board of directors for F.O.R.D. She loved fine art and gardening. She was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren, and loved her cats and parrot.

Gail will be remembered for her selflessness, unconditional love for family, and her incredible sense of humor.

Survivors include one daughter, Rosemary I. Weber and her partner William McLear IV of Adams; three grandchildren, Jazzlyn Hover, Javanna Hover and Colt McLear; one brother, Daniel Weber of Lady Lake, Fla.; and nieces and nephews.  

Four brothers are deceased, including James, Michael, Edward and Robert.

Funeral notice: A memorial service for Gail Weber will be celebrated Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of North Adams. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapel, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA 01247.

I was saddened to hear of Gail's passing. We were friends in college and a little bit afterward. Time and life caused us to go separate ways, but I always kept her in mind, hoping that she was doing OK. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.
