Robert L. LeBeau, 89

ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Robert Lawrence LeBeau, 89, of Adams died on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, at Mt. Carmel Nursing Home in Lenox.

He was born in Adams on April 12, 1928, son of the late Lawrence and Lillian (Heinz) LeBeau. He attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School.

Mr. LeBeau served with the United States Army National Guard until receiving his Honorable Discharge as Lieutenant Colonel on April 12, 1988.

Mr. LeBeau was an insurance agent for the Metropolitan Insurance Co. for many years and later as a salesman for the former North Adams Transcript until retiring.

He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, North Adams and had been a longtime member of the former St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Adams.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, the former Jane Church, whom he married on September 26, 1954; two daughters, Kimberly Frank Sapienza and her husband Joseph of Methuen, Mass., and Jennifer Wojciechowski and her husband Matthew of Adams; one son, Robert LeBeau of Port Charlotte, Fla.; a brother, Donald LeBeau; two sisters-in-law, Betsy and Judy LeBeau; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a brother, Richard LeBeau; and by a sister, Joyce Pandell.

Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams. Rev. Mary Frances Curns, Rector of All Saints Episcopal Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
