Edwin Griffin III, 43

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Edwin R. Griffin III, 43, of Lincoln Street in Pittsfield, died at his home on Wednesday, May 17, 2017.

He was born on January 15, 1974, in Pittsfield, Mass., the son of Edwin R. Griffin Jr. and Denise Loran Deutsch. He attended Pittsfield schools and graduated from Taconic High School in 1993 and went on to attend Berkshire Community College.

Edwin worked as a painter for Armored Car Solutions and then most recently as a cook for Papa Joes in Pittsfield. He enjoyed watching all types of sports.

Besides his parents, Edwin is survived by his paternal grandfather, Edwin R. Griffin Sr., and his maternal grandmother, Ellen Loran; one brother, Bryan Mahoney; three sisters, Desire Griffin, Stephanie Deutsch and Alana Deutsch; a niece, Mikaila Griffin; a great-niece, Kailyn Griffin; his Aunt and Uncle Debbie and Lee Newbold; and his brother-in-law Larry Cobb.

Funeral notice: Visiting hours for Edwin Griffin III will be on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, from 1-3 p.m. at the Kelly Funeral Home in Lee. Burial will be private at a later date.
