Christopher M. Burnham, 45

CHESHIRE, Mass. — Christopher M. Burnham, 45,  passed into the arms of mother earth and father sky in his home in Cheshire, Mass., as a result of a severe asthmatic attack in the early afternoon on Friday, June 23, 2017.

He is survived by his mother Cheri (Johnson) Burnham; his father Donald L. Burnham and his wife Kelly. He leaves behind two daughters, Ciera and Esme Burnham; son Alex Burnham and his partner Reina Oduro; one brother, Timothy Burnham and his wife Erin; two sisters, Kelly (Scanlan) Burnham and Tracy (Burnham) Reimann and her spouse Rick and son Jack and a great-grandchild, Vincent Seoane Burnham.

Chris was a Sales and Lease Consultant with Johnson Ford Lincoln in Pittsfield, Mass., where he had worked for 10 years and where he had many loyal customers.

Chris was motivated by the history and lives of Native Americans and lived his life in harmony with their ways and teachings. He was passionate about the outdoors, its abundance of life and ability to heal all ailments. He loved, more than anything, the peace and serenity of the trails and mountain tops he frequented. Chris had a compassionate heart, willing and ready to help anyone less fortunate than he. He enjoyed teaching and practicing the art of boxing and shared his love of the sport whenever he was given the opportunity. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, June 30, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church  in North Adams, Mass. Calling hours are Friday from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass. Memorial donations are suggested any local conservatories.

Rest in Peace Chris. I had the honor of marrying your brother but unfortunately never had the opportunity to meet you in person. Your family loves you and misses you dearly. I have felt you looking down on us the last couple of weeks while your son has been with us, what a wonderful young man. I look forward to getting to know him better as well as Ciera and Esme and of course Reina. Until we meet my friend.

So sorry to The entire family! Chris was one of my best friends in High School. He was there when my first son was born and helped me get through a tough time! Even though we lost touch I will never forget the ping pong games, boxing matches and driving around in the Camry! Rest In Peace my friend till we meet again!
