Peter A. D'Amico Jr., 80

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Peter A. D'Amico Jr., 80, of North Highlands, Calif., formerly of North Adams, Mass., passed away June 13, 2017, in North Highlands.

Born in North Adams on February 16, 1937, son of the late Peter A. and Hazel Pringle D'Amico. he attended North Adams schools and graduated  from the former St. Joseph High School. Peter was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran, and received his honorable discharge after 20 years of service. He continued to work for many years at the McClelland AFB.

He is survived by his wife, the former Miriam McCreary Knight; two daughters, Brenda Clark and her husband Dan of California and Kim Pace of Pennsylvania; a sister, Judith Rivera and her husband Israel of North Adams; four grandchildren, Cody and Dominique Clark of California and Joseph and Adam Pace of Pennsylvania; two great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two nieces, Lisa Boyer and Lynn French; a nephew, John Piekos; and his former wife, Leanora Parrino Knight.

Funeral notice: Services and burial with full military honors will be in California. The Trottier Pringle Funeral Home in Adams is in charge of local arrangements.
