Stephen Shaw, 74

DALTON, Mass. — Stephen W. Shaw, 74, of 600 Main St. passed away at home on August 18, 2017. 

Born in Chateauguay, N.Y., on August 10, 1943, he was the son of the late Leonard and Viola Beardsley Shaw. He was educated in New York schools. Steve was employed in maintenance for many years at Walmart, the former Rice Silk Mill and Kelly Lumber. He retired in 2000. 

He enjoyed wrestling, hunting and fishing. He was also an avid fan of the New York Yankees. 

He leaves his wife, Rose Wood Shaw of Dalton, whom he married on August 8, 1981; three daughters, Erin Shaw-Kodjo of Pittsfield, Michelle Lord of the state of Florida and Gail Messer of Pittsfield; a stepson, Daniel Weber of Pittsfield; five sisters, Ava, Barbara, Genevieve, Beverly and Sheila; a brother, Robert Shaw; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
