Michael Murch Sr., 66

LANESBOROUGH, Mass. — Michael Murch Sr., 66, passed away surrounded by his family in his home in Lanesborough, Mass., on Sept. 7, 2017.

He was born to George Jr. and Eileen Murch in Northampton, Mass., on Jan. 5, 1951. Michael Sr. enjoyed spending time with his family, cooking, working for Elder Services, going on vacations with his grandchildren, and going to Saratoga to the races and casinos.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Peggy Murch; grandsons who resided in his home, Blake Chadler, Ashton and Brentton Murch Jr. with partner Katy McCann, and John Benoit with partner Nicole Yamaji; his other grandchildren, Alyssa, Nathan, Emily, Sarah, Megan and Sammie; his sisters, Judy Clayton and Noreen Beebe with husband Dick; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brother, George Murch III.

Funeral notice: The celebration of life memorial for Michael Sr. will be held at The Locker Room Sports Bar in Lee, Mass., on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2017, at 2 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roche Funeral Home.
