Christine M. Moser, 75

CLARKSBURG, Mass. — Christine Margaret (Smith) Moser, 75, of Clarksburg, Mass., died Monday September 18, 2017 at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center.

She was born in North Adams, Mass., on December 7, 1941, daughter of John Francis and Marion (Mahoney) Smith.  She attended local schools and graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School.

Christine was last employed by Excelsior Process and Engraving for 32 years until her retirement. In her younger years, she had worked at Sprague Electric Co. She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.

Christine enjoyed crocheting, cooking, gardening and working on puzzles. She especially enjoyed trips to casinos and Saratoga Race Track and family trips to Maine.  

Survivors include her husband, Louis H. Moser, whom she married on October 26, 1963; one daughter, Sheila Mekdeci and her husband Keith of North Adams; one son, Louis A. Moser and his wife Renelle of Adams; four grandchildren, including Kyle Peters, Ethan Mekdeci, Emma Moser and Nora Moser; and nieces and nephews.

Two sisters and one brother are deceased, including Joan Mausert, Carol Denault and Daniel Smith.

Funeral notice: The funeral for Christine Moser will be Saturday, September 23, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapels, 521 West Main St., North Adams, Mass. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.

Calling hours at the funeral home are Saturday morning from 9-11 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Clarksburg Volunteer Fire Department or the charity of the donor's choice in care of the funeral home.
