Emile E. Mazur Jr., 79

SAVOY, Mass. — Emile E. Mazur Jr., 79, of 763 Main Road, Savoy, passed away Sunday evening, October 8, 2017, at the Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.

Born in Adams on January 6, 1938, son of the late Emile E. and Blanche Fryc Mazur, he attended Adams schools. Emile was employed for thirty years as a Line Technician for the former Adelphia Cable Co. in North Adams, retiring in 2001.

He was a communicant of St. Agnes Catholic Church in Dalton. He was a member of the Savoy Volunteer Fire Department, a past Selectman for the town, a former Constable, and a former Cub Scout Master.

He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Dolle, whom he married on June 6, 1964; a son, Eric Mazur of Savoy; a daughter, Karen Munn and her husband Jamie of Dalton; and three grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, and Joshua Munn.

Funeral notice: The funeral for Emile will take place Monday, October 16, 2017, at 9:30 a.m. from the Trottier Pringle Funeral Home, 6 Summer St., Adams, MA 01220, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Agnes Catholic Church in Dalton at 11 a.m., celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, Pastor.

Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery in Adams. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Sunday, October 15, 2017, from 4 to 7 p.m. Donations in his memory can be made to the Savoy Volunteer Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
