Colleen M. Cutler, 70

ADAMS, Mass. — The soul of Colleen M. Cutler, 70, of Adams returned to the stars on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at her home.

Born in North Adams to Donald Moyer and Delilah (Hewitt) Moyer Zuraw Tovani, she was raised by her aunt, Rita (Hewitt) Burgess. Her lineage in this country traces back to 1687 as a descendant of Ahab and Ruth Hill.

She was a graduate in 1965 of the former Adams Memorial high School, 1966 Cosmetology at McCann Vocational High School; 1984 Berkshire Community College and in 1995 Skidmore College; she valued education. Previously employed by the House of Charm, Weight Watchers Inc. and Williamstown Community Child Care, she retired from Child Care of the Berkshires in 2013 after 25 years.

Active, until cancer intervened, she walked the square of Adams, biked, swam laps at Windsor Lake, partied with the Red Hats and danced with both Berkshire Dance Theater and Zumba.

Survivors include her husband, Michael, and daughter Michelle of Adams; and son, James of Easthampton and daughter Aimee Bullett and her husband Brendan of North Adams. Sadly missed by her grandsons, Christopher Cutler and Samuel and Julian Bullett. Also left behind, her brother John Moyer and his wife Christine and sisters, Charlene Volff, Mona Charron and Tammy Charron, her soul sister Sandy Sheldon and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral notice: A celebration of Colleen’s life for family and friends will be held at a later date to be announced. Burial will be private for the family at a later date. Calling hours at the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, are Tuesday, November 14, 2017, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Colleen requested the omission of flowers and suggested donations be made to the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF), 3 United Nations Plaza, New York, NY 10017 or plant something to grow outside in her memory.

We have such fond memories and gratitude fo dear Colleen. Our daughter and son attended Community daycare when they were wee tots and Colleen always made them feel welcomed and loved. She was magical with the children always knowing how to sooth them and make them smile. We will never forget her as a part of ourchildrens’ early lives. Our deepest sympathy to her family.
