Lawrence E. Chilson, 58
MIDDLETON, N.H. — Lawrence Edward “Larry” Chilson, 58, of 109 Route 153, Middleton, died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at his home after a long illness.
He was born Aug. 12, 1959 in North Adams, Mass., the son of the late Frank and Esther (Putnam) Chilson. He has resided in this area for 32 years and had worked many years at Davidson Rubber. Larry had previously owned and operated “The Stone Guys, custom granite counter tops”. Larry was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Post # 72, Alton, N.H. He “enjoyed” fixing up his old farm house. He could be heard throughout the day singing these simple but meaningful words “Oh Crapiola!”
Members of his family include his companion, Joyce MacDougall; daughter, Kelly Marie Glidden; son-in-law, Barry Glidden; five step-kids; and grandchildren Nicholas and Logan Glidden, Keegan Whynott, and Lucas and Carly Weeks. Larry enjoyed a large extended family, including brothers David Chilson, Richard Clough and Arthur “Skippy” Clough; uncles and aunts; and many nieces, nephews and lots of cousins. His dogs Rue, PB, and SoSo (aka “the rugrats”) where his delight and annoyance.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Frank and Edward Chilson; sister, Nancy Jane Donnelly; and granddaughter, Madison Weeks
