Tillie L. Borowski, 95

ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. Tillie L. (Pietraskiewicz) Borowski, 95, of Adams died Thursday morning, November 23, 2017, at her home.

She was born in Northampton, Mass., on October 21, 1922, a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Uditska) Pietraskiewicz, and attended Northampton schools. She came to this area 30 years ago, living first in North Adams before moving to Adams several years ago. Tillie worked as a technician for Digital Corp. in Westfield before retiring.

She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and attending her grandson’s baseball games. She was an avid fan of the Boston Celtics and the Red Sox.

She was the wife of the late Stanley J. Borowski.

She is survived by her son, James J. Borowski and his partner, Ann Shartrand, of North Adams; a sister, Mary Pelis of Northampton; three grandchildren, Jamie LaPrade and her husband, Scott, of Pittsfield, Laura Borowski and her companion, John Schneider, of Adams, and Bryan Borowski and his wife, Samantha, of Columbus, Ga.; five great-grandchildren, Micayla Levesque, Seth and Brayden LaPrade, and Banks and Penn Borowski; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by a son, John S. Borowski; and by 10 of her siblings.

Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017, at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Steven Montesanti, Pastor. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Easthampton, Mass.

Calling hours are Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the church, before the Mass. Relatives and friends are invited. The Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, is in charge of arrangements.
