Patricia E. Brown, 90

LEE, Mass. — Patricia E. Brown, 90, of Lee died Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Kindred Laurel Lake.

Patricia was born in Springfield, Mass., on September 2, 1927, the daughter of Warren A. “Casey” and Madeline Fitzgerald Turner. She moved to Lee as a child and was educated in the Lee schools and graduated from Lee High School in 1946. 

Pat married Frederick D. Brown on September 24, 1949. They enjoyed 66 years of marriage before his death on October 7, 2015.

Mrs. Brown worked for the New England Telephone and Telegraph for many years and later in the Lee High School cafeteria and the housekeeping department at Meadow Place in Lenox.

Pat was member of the Republican Town Committee, the Lee Grange and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.

Mrs. Brown leaves behind two sons, Douglas E. Brown Sr. of Cape Coral, Fla., and Thomas W. Brown and his wife Dawn LaDuke of Burke, Va.; one brother, John W. Turner and his wife Barbara of Lee; two sisters, Norma J. Plankey of Lee and Helen M. Zink and her husband Robert (Wally) of Dalton; four grandchildren, Patrick, Douglas Jr., Kathleen and Melanie; as well as three great grandchildren, Turner, Caroline and Lillian.

Besides her husband, Frederick, Patricia was predeceased by her sister, Marjorie M. Strayer.

Funeral notice: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Patricia Brown will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Lee with Fr. Brian McGrath, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery. 

As per the wishes of the family, there will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a donation in Patricia’s memory to St. Mary’s Church in care of Kelly Funeral Home, 3 Main St., Lee, MA 01238.
