Pamela Koza, 82
CHESHIRE, Mass. — Pamela Koza (nee Brooks), 82, of Cheshire, Mass., passed away on Sunday December 10, 2017.
Pamela was born in West Hartlepool, County Durham, England, on May 19, 1935. She became a Registered Nurse and Midwife working in London prior to travelling to Adams, Mass., to work as an RN at the former Plunkett Hospital in the late 1950s. It was in Adams where she met and married Stanley F. Koza in 1960 to whom she remained married until Stan's passing in 2007.
Pamela was an inquisitive person and avid reader with many interests including gardening, painting, word puzzles, and trivia games. She always enjoyed spending time with her family and a nice cup of tea.
Pamela is survived by her three children, Robert A. Koza and his wife Rea of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, Stephan M. Koza and his wife Bridget of Lancaster, Mass., and Elizabeth K. Jackson and her husband Mike of Becket, Mass.; granddaughter Zoe Koza of Pittsfield, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews in England, Canada and the United States.
She is preceded in death by her sister, Wendy Holden of England; and brother, Brian Brooks of Canada.
Funeral notice: A celebration of Pamela's life is planned for May 2018. Donations may be made in Pamela's memory to the Eleanor Sonsini Animal Shelter or the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Breast Cancer Research both in care of the Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201, which is handling arrangements.
