Nancy M. Lamb, 70
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Nancy Marie (Fortin) Lamb, 70, of Williamstown, Mass., died on Friday, December 29, 2017, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass.
She was born in North Adams, Mass., on August 31, 1947 a daughter of the late Leonard Gerald and Harriett Grace (Van Sleet) Fortin.
Mrs. Lamb attended Mount Greylock Regional High School in Williamstown, graduating with the class of 1965. She went on to work at the Advocate Newspaper in Williamstown and was last employed at Storey Communications, now Storey Publishing.
Mrs. Lamb loved gardening in her beautiful backyard, baking, refurbishing treasured goods, spending time with her family and friends, and living by the motto that laughter was truly the world's best medicine. Above all, she loved being Nana to her five grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Victor "Kip" Franklin Lamb, whom she married on August 20, 1966, at St. Patrick’s Church in Williamstown; her daughter Christine Marie Paz and her husband, Mike, of Colorado; son Michael Todd Lamb and his wife Tricia Lee of Florida; grandchildren Dylan Paz and Aaron, Tyler, Joshua and Andrew Lamb; brother Leonard "Butch" Fortin Jr. and his wife, Ruth, of North Adams; sisters Beverly Teillon and her husband, Brenton, of Morrisville, Vt., and Maryann Gillooly and her husband, Bill, of New Marlborough, Mass.; as well as nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral notice: A funeral service to celebrate the life of Nancy Lamb will take place on Saturday, January 13, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, West Chapel, 521 West Main St., North Adams, MA 01247. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to Pop Cares, 413-281-1094.
