Danielle Trottier, 79
ADAMS, Mass. — Mrs. Danielle (Huet) Trottier, 79, of Adams died Tuesday evening, January 2, 2018, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.
Danielle was born in New York City on June 23, 1938, a daughter of the late Yves and Lucienne (Lessard) Huet. She grew up with her sisters Anne and Michele and brother, Andre, in New Britain, Conn.
Danielle graduated from St. Mary’s School of Nursing in Waterbury, Conn., as a Registered Nurse. She had worked at Newton-Wellesley Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston until coming to Adams. She then worked at the former North Adams VNA, the former W.B. Plunkett Memorial Hospital in Adams, Berkshire Medical Center, and finally at North Adams Regional Hospital for many years, until retiring.
She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. She was a member of the Massachusetts Nurses Association at the Retired Nurses Association. She enjoyed reading and cooking, and was a kind and loving person, had many friends, and was proud of her children and grandchildren. She was a loving wife, friend and partner to her husband.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Mark D. Trottier, whom she married on October 2, 1965; her daughter, Michele Psutka and her husband, Kevin, of North Granby, Conn.; her sons, Mark Trottier Jr. and his wife, Terry, of Rockford, Mich., and Paul Trottier and his wife, Kristen, of Webster, N.Y.; her six grandchildren, Katie and Lauren Psutka, Zuzu and Paul Trottier, and Ray and Luci Trottier; her brother, Andre Huet of Apollo Beach, Fla.; her sister, Anne Smith of Avon, Conn.; as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
She was predeceased by her sister, Michele Zettergren.
Funeral notice: The funeral will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018, at 9 a.m. from the Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Notre dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
Calling hours are Thursday, January 11, 2018, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
