James A. Renton, 71
CHESHIRE, Mass. — James A. Renton, 71, of Cheshire, Mass., died Wednesday, January 3, 2018.
He was born in Adams, Mass., on March 16, 1946, son of James and Rita Emma (Gageant) Renton. He attended North Adams schools and graduated from the Drury High School.
Jimmy was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated Renton's Farmland Market on State Road in Williamstown for many years. Jimmy enjoyed bowling at Mount Greylock Bowl.
Survivors include three sisters, Pamela R. Cadran of Cheshire, Ellen A. Quigley (John) of Freedom, N.H., and Denise R. Davignon (Alan) of Seattle, Wash,; one brother, Robert H. Renton of Cheshire; nieces and nephews, including Renee C. Kolbusz, Bryan J. Cadran (Teresa), Jane E. Cadran, Shawn Quigley, Cari-Ann Packhem, Kristen Davignon, and Harrison Davignon; one grandniece, Holly Cadran; his uncle, Louis Gageant; and several cousins.
Funeral notice: Services for James A. Renton were private and burial was in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown.
