Leo Fitzpatrick, 31

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Leo John Francis Fitzpatrick, 31, of Pittsfield, passed away February 25, 2018.

He was born December 14, 1986, to Kathleen Fremer Fitzpatrick and the late Leo F. Fitzpatrick. Leo was a graduate of Central Bucks West High School and was attending Berkshire Community College. He planned on a career in social work. A talented artist, he loved painting with acrylics and tattooing. Leo loved animals and spending time outdoors, especially playing with his dog, Emmie.

He was the kindest, gentlest, and sweetest soul, who adored children and his family, and felt that family was everything. Leo fought many demons, struggled with addiction for many years, and lost the fight, but he is finally at peace.

He leaves behind his mother, Kathleen Fitzpatrick of Pittsfield; stepmother Jennifer Bridge of Ocean, N.J.; two sisters, Jessica Cassese of Orlando, Fla., and Erin Fitzpatrick of Reno, Nev.; a brother, Mark Fitzpatrick of Doylestown, Pa.; half brother/cousin Liam Fitzpatrick of Ewing, N.J.; maternal grandparents, Judith and John Fremer of Smithville, N.J.; his uncle John Fremer III of Boston, Mass.; a niece Temple and nephews Michael, Titus and A.J.; and many beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.

Leo was predeceased by his father and aunt, June Mirassou.

Funeral notice: A memorial service for Leo John Francis Fitzpatrick will be held Friday, March 2, 2018, at 1 p.m. at Dery Funeral Home, 54 Bradford St., Pittsfield, Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Leo's name to NAMI Berkshire County in care of the funeral home.
