Ronald E. Kolodziej, 73

ADAMS, Mass. — Ronald E. Kolodziej, 73, of Adams passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018, at his home.

Born in Adams on June 25, 1944, he was the son of the late Edward and Genevieve Lipinski Kolodziej, Ronald was a 1961 graduate of the former Adams Memorial High School. His last place of employment was for the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams and where he retired. Prior to that he was employed for 25 years for the General Electric Co. in Pittsfield.

Ronald was a U.S. Marine Vietnam War Veteran. He was a communicant of the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Adams and he enjoyed bowling, golf and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, the former Alice B. Davis, whom he married on August 4, 1968; a son, Chad Kolodziej and his wife Ashley of North Adams; a daughter, Tracy Schettini and her husband Peter of Pittsfield; a sister, Sandra Pasternak and her husband Edward of Adams; six grandchildren; and two nephews. He was predeceased by a son, James Kolodziej.

Funeral notice: Services and burial in Bellevue Cemetery will be at a later date in the spring at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. The Trottier Pringle Funeral Home in Adams is in charge of arrangements.
